Conjecture about the Root Levels
During investigation of a Structural Hierarchy in Politics for TOP, I discovered that there was a connection with Levels in the Root Hierarchy (or perhaps the Primary Hierarchies or Structural Primary Hierarchies). This correspondence was further confirmed in the Decision-making framework.
Of course, the Structural Hierarchy for Creativity is a special case because it is derived from the Root Levels. It is interesting to see whether the association still applies.
■ Does Willpower-Autonomy RsH-G1 have a special correspondence with Purpose-RL6?
Certainly.
Why?
Being ever-purposeful is the primary demand of creativity, and this demand surely has to start at the very beginning with the use of willpower. The need for such use to be meaningful seems to flow from purpose. Could it be any of the other Root Levels? Perhaps, but none seem to fit in any special way.
■ Does Conviction-Confidence RsH-G2 have a special correspondence with Communication-RL5?
Probably.
Why?
Psychosocial reality is created by communication, and the reality around your handling of the challenge must be created and controlled in a similar way just as soon as possible. Establishing personal control over the challenge using these sources of confidence is about communicating with yourself and liking what you hear, see and feel. Your dedication, involvement, conceptions, ownership, conclusions, and iteration all communicate your conviction to others, partly verbally and also non-verbally.
The need to be sensible is communicative in nature. The only other Root Level correspondence that seems possible is Inquiry-RL2,
■ Does Enthusiasm-Support RsH-G3 have a special correspondence with Action-RL1?
Probably.
Why?
Enthusiasm was noted to be necessary for launching and sustaining activities. It is difficult to get enthusiastic apart from doing. Constructive feedback, especially from results that reduce doubts, is essential. However, the 5 Triads—activation, appreciation, sharing, interest, engagement—also seem to suggest Communication-RL5 as the corresponding Root Level. Perhaps this is because communicating-as-an action is the primal form of creation.
■ Does Commitment-Capability RsH-G4 have a special correspondence with Inquiry-RL2?
Probably.
Why?
Discovery was identified as a feature in all the Groups, and this is an outcome of inquiry. Play and learning were explicitly linked to inquiry. In this regard. Play and Surrender (2nd and 4th Tetrads) seem more personally controllable than Learning and Passion (1st & 3rd Tetrads).
In the case of Play, a focus for inquiry is chosen to enable the emergence of new ideas. Learning, by contrast, requires inquiry into events and outcomes that emerge and demand a deeper understanding. Surrender demands inquiry because it is such a major personal step, however it is subject to your direction. Being passionate seems to be different: in that you have to find passion and then it tends to take over.
■ Does Perseverance-Vantage RsH-G5 have a special correspondence with Change-RL3?
Surely.
Why?
The whole focus here seems to be on resisting giving up in the absence of desired change and getting prepared to make changes when conditions are suitable. Determination is about producing changes that count as progress despite obstacles. Justification clarifies the change and is used to provoke or defend change. Motivation is about getting action taken that is specifically oriented to desired change.
■ Does Immersion-Breakthrough RsH-G6 have a special correspondence with Experience-RL4?
Probably.
Why?
Immersion seems to be an experiential state even if there are external manifestations. Preoccupation is certainly purely experiential. Experimentation, too, can be considered experiential insofar as dreaming up the experiment is imaginative. It is essential to sustain a wide awareness of numerous factors during the experiment rather than being over-rational and simply focusing on a narrow outcome or a few figures. This opens the door wider to serendipity.
■ Does Challenge-CourageRsH-G7 have a special correspondence with Willingness-RL7?
Certainly.
Why?
Seeing and accepting a challenge is a matter of willingness. Willingness also holds the key to whether positivity is sustained, and probably determines the evocation of a courage mindseet.
